Call for Submissions!!


Okay ... here we go ... we are looking for some funny redneck haiku poems for Bubbaku, Too: He's Bigger, He's Badder, He's Bubba!

If you are interested in purchasing a copy of the original Bubbaku which has tickled the funny bones of so many people already, then go to the store online at albanlake.com. Check it out ... then try your hand at penning a few of those hilarious redneck haiku! It pays $2 per poem, if your work is accepted.

Allow plenty of time for a response ... I am just getting started going through submissions. The publication date for this collection is still TBA depending on the submission response we get. The original Bubbaku is selling like hotcakes so we thought another collection was warranted!

We will also accept haibun and other similar forms as long as it fits the theme. (**A Haibun is a very short story that is punctuated by a haiku. Again, see the original Bubbaku. There are two haibun published in that collection. One is by myself and the other is by noted haiku poet, John Dunphy.)

GUIDELINES:

PLEASE put "Bubbaku 2 submission" in the subject line of your email or it could be deleted without being opened.

Include your name and other contact information, a short introductory statement, and then paste your submission(s) into the body of the email. Include a short bio at the end. Email your submissions to beysha 2003 at yahoo. (You should already know the "dot com" part.)

Good Evening, Members of The Tribe,  I hope you are all living the lives of which you have always dreamed. I have been a busy little thing. Watch out for wandering minds and hidden memory chips

Good morning, dear Tribe!  I hope everyone has had a good week. I have been doing okay as I have set off on the adventure that is my life -- working for paychecks that are already gone before they reach my bank account. So many bills, so little time .... ahh, but life doesn't have to be that way, does it? It's all about keeping one's sense of humor. I have to laugh. Life is ridiculous sometimes. It's wonderful and ridiculous and it is the little things that can bring us so much joy.  This past week, the thing that amused me most was how I knew I was aggravating people who had to repeat things to me. Someone was telling me something and I was looking right into her face and I would have to have her repeat half of what she said because my mind was on something else. A Kid Named Larry

Hello, Dear Reader, and fellow Tribe members, I am here to say that I actually accomplished my goal for last week and that was to finish an outline that will help me complete my complication novella -- Pioneer . I did it!! I actually managed to finish the outline with special thanks to a brainstorming session with my dear friend, Shanan. (Insert happy dance here.) Goals for this week: 1. Two posts for the week 2. Write through sections one and two on Pioneer . Each goal brings me closer to what I want to accomplish and the little dialog here helps keep me going Dear Reader.
